Pictures of veterans (many in “Then and Now” displays) were provided by members of the church, community, and Veterans Voices Military Group. The pictures were posted on the wall for viewing by attendees at the Veterans Day service.
The Veterans Voices Military Group Honor Guard carries the colors and the church flag into the sanctuary at Faith United Methodist Church of Orland Park, IL, at the beginning of the Veterans Day service.
Attendees at the Veterans Day service were given the opportunity to write Christmas cards to be sent to service members deployed overseas. Jim Kruse (seated at right of photo) is the founder of Kruse’s Krew, an organization that collects goods to be sent in “care” packages to those service members. Jim includes the cards in the packages.
Collages of many of the Honor Flag ceremonies performed by Veterans Voices Military Group are posted on the wall for viewing by attendees at the Veterans Day Service.
