Honor Flag

We raise an Honor Flag on the first Sunday of the month (April thru November) in honor of a deceased veteran. The flag is a new 4’ X 6’ embroidered United States flag. The flag is raised then lowered to half staff. Taps is played. The flag is raised to full staff height. A tribute about the honoree is read to the attendees, along with a short biography and a closing prayer. The honor flag flies for the remainder of that month. After laundering, the flag is folded and encased in a shadow box. The flag, shadow box and authenticating certificates are then provided to the family or friends of the honoree.
