Gary Lang

president

Gary served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He took his basic and advanced training at Fort Lewis, Washington. Upon completion of his training he received orders for duty in Vietnam. Gary’s service in Vietnam was with the 101st Airborne Division, initially in the 3rd Battalion 506th and then with the 3rd Battalion 187th Infantry. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze star, and the Air Medal. After returning home, he was assigned to the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Texas, until his discharge in January 1972.

Allen DeNormandie

Vice-President

Allen served in the US Navy from 1967-1971. He attended Basic Training at Great Lakes, Il., 1967. NCO navigation school, Newport, RI. Air, surface, subsurface navigation qualified Dec. 1967. Billet 7th Fleet COMDESRON 7, USS Gurke (DD-783) home ported San Diego, Ca. Three WESPAC (Vietnam) deployments 1968-1969-1970. North/South SAR (Yankee Station) ops with USS Kitty Hawk, USS Ranger, USS Enterprise sorties over North Vietnam. Tonkin Gulf gun line ops out of Da Nang south to Mekong Delta. Promoted to Quarter Master 2nd Class (E-5), June 1970. Received the US Navy Achievement Medal in Dec. 1970.


Dan Tomasik

RECORDING SECRETARY

Dan was in the United States Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam from 1967 to 1968. He was a member of a rifle company with the 1st Division 5th Marines and was stationed in the Que Son Valley in the Central Highlands and later in Hue. The remainder of his service was spent in Hawaii.

Dale Carver

TREASURER/CHAPLAIN (Corporate Registered Agent)

Dale served from 1973 to 1993 in the Army Signal Corps as a logistics officer and a combat communications officer. He served two tours (seven years) in Germany and one tour (six months) in Honduras. He retired as a lieutenant colonel, then operated Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps programs for fourteen years in South Carolina.

Tom Duracka

Information Officer

Tom enlisted in the Army in 1960 at age 19.  He completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO., and artillery school (105mm Howitzer training) at Fort Sill, OK. After training he was sent to Germany and served in the 82nd Artillery in Giessen.  He was cross-trained as a wireman and switchboard operator.  He was in Germany when the Berlin Wall was built and his tour of duty was extended four months.  He also served on the unit Color Guard, and traveled to many locations and events.  He returned home and was honorably discharged in May, 1962.


Lee A. McCasland

Member-At-Large

Lee served in the U.S. Army from June 1966 to June 1968.  He received basic training at Fort Polk, LA., and training as a medic at Fort Sam Houston, TX.  Lee was rated as a Medical Corpsman and Operating Room Specialist.  He was assigned to Martin Army Hospital, Fort Benning, GA., where he served until his discharge, having achieved the rank of Specialist, 4th Class.
