IN THE PUBLIC EYE
Part of the Veterans Voices Military Group mission is keeping the public aware of veterans and the need to honor and support veterans. Veterans Voices Military Group was requested to participate in a Veterans and Military Appreciation Night at a Chicago Crush hockey game at the Addison Ice Rink on Saturday, 12/9/23.

Members of Veterans Voices Military Group presented the Colors before the game while the National Anthem was sung. Each member of the Color Guard had the opportunity to perform a ceremonial puck drop before the game. The high point was our Board of Directors President, Gary Lang, was offered the opportunity to “Shoot the Puck.”
During the first intermission Gary was given three chances to shoot a puck from the blue line at the net, which was screened by a picture of a goalie. The screen had a small opening at the bottom center of the picture. On the third try, Gary’s shot was a goal!!!! The horn sounded and the crowd roared! Way to go, Gary. In recognition of Gary’s achievement Veterans Voices will receive a generous donation from the event sponsor to further our mission to support veterans.
