STARTING ANEW IN 2025

BACK TO MANENO: Veterans Voices Military Group traveled to the Illinois State Veterans Home in Manteno on Thursday, January 30. We frequently donate items like favorite snack foods, drinks, and warm clothing to our heroes in residence. On this trip we also volunteered to assist veterans in moving to the afternoon chapel service. It was our first volunteer event at Manteno since the onset of COVID. It was great to be back! BRINGING THE GOODS: SNACKS, DRINKS, AND WARM CLOTHES ARE ALWAYS IN HIGH DEMAND. WE DO OUR BEST TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR VETERANS ON A QUARTERLY BASIS. TODAY’S CREW WAS (L-R) DALE CARVER, TOMMY DURACKA, DENNIS WIECEK, TOM DURACKA, AND GARY LANG.

THE VETERANS HOME PROVIDES NUMEROUS OPPORTUNITIES FOR WORSHIP EACH WEEK. TODAY WE HELPED ABOUT A DOZEN VETERANS GET TO THE CHAPEL. THE VETERANS HOME IS A LARGE FACILITY AND MANY OF THE RESIDENTS LACK THE STRENGTH TO MOVE LONG DISTANCES ON THEIR OWN.
