A Tribute to the Life of John DeNormandie (1893-1971) (grandfather of Allen DeNormandie):
We honor the service of John DeNormandie, who served in the U.S. Army in World War I from September, 1917, to January, 1919. He served in the 332nd Field Artillery, Battery D, 86th Division in Lamas, France, with the unit called “Black Hawk” Division.
A Tribute to the Life of John B. DeNormandie (1918-1969) (father of Allen DeNormandie):
John B. DeNormandie served in the U.S. Navy onboard the USS McDougal, DD-358, out of Norfolk, VA. He served from June, 1944, through the end of World War II in 1945. He was a second class (E-5) radioman & eventually trained to operate newly installed radar systems provide secure for European convoys.
