A Tribute to the Life of Theodore (Ted) H. Reimer (husband of Delores Reimer):

Ted was born on December 15, 1927.  He attended Arbor Park Schools and Thornton High School, graduating in 1945. Ted grew up in Oak Forest and as a teenager worked at the Oak Forest Hospital in the ice house.

Ted was a World War II veteran serving in the army, from 1946 to March 17, 1948. He was a Private Fist Class, stationed in Osaka-Honshu, Japan. He was a Rifleman, Ammunition Bearer, and Truck Driver.

In 1954, he married Delores Nicholson. They had three daughters, Kim, Beth and Barb, 10 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.

Ted worked for Illinois Bell Telephone for 37 years. He was an active member of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Ted was Boy Scout Master in Oak Forest for Troop 327, served on the Forest Ridge School District 142 board, Oak Forest Chamber of Commerce Board, volunteered at Together We Cope and was part owner of a family business in Oak Forest.

Ted passed away on April 19, 2003 and is at rest in Homewood Memorial Gardens.
