David Russel DeVos

A Tribute to the Life of David Russel DeVos (husband of Carol DeVos):

David was born to Richard and Cleo DeVos on August 12, 1935, in Oak Forest, IL.  He was number eleven of sixteen children, eleven boys & five girls.

David served in the U.S. Army Infantry and was a Private First Class (E-3) Infantry Specialist with the Mortar Battery, Heavy Weapons, 1st Cavalry Squadron, 1st Brigade, 10th Infantry, in Okinawa, Japan and Korea, 1958, 1959, & 1960.

He was married on September 23, 1961 to Carol (Burns) and they had three children, Carolyn (Mike) Barlow, Beth Duffell, and David (Denice) DeVos, and also had six grandchildren, Colin, Caitlin, Ethan, Taylor, Dylan & Dara.

David died on January 11, 2005.
